2. Linderhof Palace
What if I say there is a beautiful place yet the entry fee is economical? The 2nd one on my list of the Best Castles in Germany is the one of places that is pocket-friendly yet gives you royal vibes!
Linderhof Palace in Ettel, Germany, was designed by Georg von Dollmann and opened in 1886. You can explore its beautiful interior as well as climb the stairs and see the beautiful view from the top!
And the pretty thing is there is a pond in which you can see the beautiful swans. In short Linderhof Palace is a perfect place to hang out!

The 4th one on my list of Best Castles in Germany is the most famous castle in Europe! This beautiful castle has 120 rooms here you can explore nature by walking through gardens and rooms.
You can gather information about the castle from the staff which is very cooperative. Here you can see the Assumption and Christmas Market that is so captivating.
- Opening hours: 10 AM to 6:30 PM and showrooms open from 10 am to 6 pm daily.
5. Wurzburg Residence
The 5th one on my list of Best Castles in Germany is Wurzburg Residence which is the perfect example of South German Baroque-era architecture. That is why it is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.
Here you can do a lot of things such as exploring the beautiful architecture, and take a walk through the gardens for free.
Additionally, You can capture the beauty of it. Photography and video recording are permitted for personal use at the Court Church, the Court Garden, and the square in front of the residence.
However, photography and filming are not allowed during guided tours.

6. Sigmaringen Castle

Sigmaringen Castle is perfect for exploring weapons in the Best Castles in Germany! The best thing is you can use an Audio guide for exploring the castles. The highlight of the castle is the arms rooms here.
